Puddleducks Pre-School
Puddleducks is a unique childcare setting nestled within an idyllic woodland location behind the Harnham Infant School in Salisbury. Providing high-quality childcare and early years education for children aged 2–5 years in a rich, stimulating and nurturing environment.
At Puddleducks, we are passionate about providing the highest standards of care, learning and development. Our unique woodland setting offers children the freedom to explore, discover and learn both indoors and outdoors, creating wonderful opportunities for curiosity, creativity and independence.
Our dedicated and enthusiastic team of experienced, well-qualified practitioners, supported by our committed management team, work together to ensure every child feels happy, safe, secure and valued. We strive to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive nursery environment where every child is encouraged to flourish, develop their confidence and reach their full potential.
Everything we do is designed to nurture children’s self-esteem, confidence and independence, helping them to develop the skills they need to become happy, confident individuals who are ready to take their place in the wider world.
We understand that every child is unique, with their own interests, personality and pace of development. This individuality is at the heart of everything we do at Puddleducks, and we ensure that each child is supported to reach their full potential.
Family Grouping
We believe children learn so much from one another, which is why we use a family grouping approach in our nursery.
Children aged 2–5 years learn, play and explore together in the same welcoming environment. This gives younger children the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by their older peers, while older children develop confidence, independence, kindness and leadership as they naturally support and interact with younger children.
Our family grouping approach helps children build strong relationships across different ages, develop a sense of belonging and learn at their own pace. Every child is valued as an individual, while benefiting from being part of a caring and supportive nursery family.
Puddleducks has two beautifully designed rooms, each with its own facilities and carefully planned environment to support children through their early years journey.
Our Woodland
One of the most special features of Puddleducks is our woodland area, which provides endless opportunities for adventure, exploration and learning.
From our large mud kitchen and custom-made teepee to our very own chickens, the woodland gives children the chance to experience nature, develop practical skills and enjoy the freedom of outdoor play.
Children are able to free flow between the indoors and outdoors throughout the day, giving them the freedom to choose where and how they would like to learn and explore.
At Puddleducks, we believe that children learn best when they feel happy, safe, confident and inspired. We are proud to offer a truly special environment where children can play, explore, learn and grow together.
